Opelika police have arrested another suspect in a Monday afternoon shooting at a trailer park.
Douglas VonDerick Bledsoe, aka "Red", a 19-year-old Opelika resident, was charged Tuesday with one count of attempted murder and two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle. He was booked into the Lee County Jail.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. in which an excess of 20 shots were fired at the Brookhaven trailer park.
Capt. Allan Elkins said a 19-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were shot at by six suspects with semi-automatic handguns in the trailer park. The suspects also shot at one trailer seven times and another once in the upper corner. Two cars, a 1998 Chevy Cavalier and a 2005 Dodge Neon were also shot.
