Missing children may be in Tennessee

Police in Jackson, Tenn., issued an Amber Alert for three children from Columbus who disappeared with their father Tuesday night, after learning that they might have been spotted early Thursday in Jackson.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said the man may have been seen at a Jackson motel and left driving on the Highway 45 bypass north out of town early Thursday.

Eddie Harrington, 27, of 4625 Gardiner Drive, was gone with his three children, Cedric Harrington, 3, and year-old twin daughters Aliyah and Agena Battle when his girlfriend and mother of the three children returned home about 1 a.m. Wednesday. She said he left a note saying he didn't want to go on living. She said she has not heard from him since.

Columbus Police issued a Levi Call Wednesday morning after conferring with the GBI out of concern for the safety of the children.
