Auburn man charged with robbery

Police have arrested an Auburn man accused of robbing a gas station and a convenience store in the city last week.

Auburn police arrested Thomas Edward Howard, 25, on Sunday, March 9, and charged him with two counts of first degree robbery.

The arrest is the result of an investigation into two separate robberies that occurred recently.

Howard is accused of robbing the Jet Pep convenience store on Wire Road on March 6 and of robbing the Chevron store located on South College Street on March 2.

He was booked into the Lee County jail to await bond.
