Dionne Warwick, who was Burt Bacharach's favorite singer in the 1960s, is set to perform in the Bill Heard Theatre in the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 10.
Famous for songs like "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?," "I'll Never Fall in Love Again," "A House Is Not a Home," "Walk on By" and "Alfie," earlier in her career, she gained more fans when she collaborated with Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder and Elton John for "That's What Friends Are For" in 1986.
One of her most-watched television appearances was in May of 2006 when she appeared on "American Idol" with Bacharach, where they performed "Walk on By" and "That's What Friends Are For."
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 2 for $32.50 and $42.50.
