One contestant will be eliminated on tonight's episode of "American Idol," which airs at 9 p.m. on Fox.
Tuesday, the 12 remaining singers took on the Lennon/McCartney songbook with mixed results. Surprisingly, one of the biggest standouts was Chikezie's unique take on "She's a Woman." Previously, Chikezie -- a 22-year-old airport security inspector from Inglewood, Calif. -- had been regarded as a mediocre contestant long overdue for elimination.
But a fair share of contestants suffered. Perhaps the most criticism went to Kristy Lee Cook's botched country rendition of "Eight Days a Week." And David Archuleta, long considered this season's front-runner, forgot the lyrics to "We Can Work It Out" in a performance judge Simon Cowell called a mess.
