Bernadette the Duck adopts a school

Still covered with much of her duckling down, Bernadette takes center stage during an Easter photo shoot with Harley the rabbit and Niomi Johnson, left, Mitzi Seron, Adriana Embus and Jewell Carrero at Our Lady of Lourdes School. The one-month old Pekin duck was incubated and hatched as part of the seventh grade science class, and has since adopted each of the 105 students in the school. She waddles the halls as students arrive each morning, and makes her way to each classroom door to squawk "good morning." Bernadette will go home to a new family over spring break.
