The Phenix City-Russell County Literacy Council is offering training for tutors interested in teaching basic reading and writing skills for adults.
The 12 hour certification training for volunteer tutors will be conducted over a period of four weeks, with three hours in each session.
Sessions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on April 8, April 15, April 22 and April 29 at the Phenix City-Russell County Public Library on 17th Avenue.
Tutors are required to attend all four sessions to be certified.

Registration is $25 and provides each tutor will a a Laubach Tutor Workshop Handbook, Teacher’s Manual #1, handouts and a one-year membership.
