The 2007 National Teacher of the Year will visit Columbus State University's College of Education next week for workshops involving local teachers and CSU education majors.
Andrea Peterson will be at the college March 18 and 19. Peterson is noted for her effective cross-curricular approach to teaching music at a Granite Falls, Wash. elementary school.
Her visit will begin with a forum at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the Cunningham Center's Blanchard Hall to allow CSU education majors, media and other interested students to speak with her.
She also will share insight with Muscogee County and Fort Benning teachers during her visit and tour the college's Schwob School of Music.
