Two upcoming vigils will mark the five-year anniversary of the war in Iraq.
The first is a vigil for peace at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2100 Hilton Ave. It will be outdoors at the labyrinth, near the church's entrance. The event is sponsored by Chattahoochee Valley Episcopal Ministries and the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship. In the event of rain, the peace vigil will be in the church chapel.
The second is a candlelight vigil at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the parking lot at the Callaway Gardens Country Store, U.S. 27. This vigil is sponsored by MoveOn.org.
