An Americus man was sentenced last week to more than eight years in prison for possessing child pornography.
David Lee Shandolow, 65, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in October. Sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge W. Louis Sands, Shandolow must also pay a $1,000 fine, said Sue McKinney, public affairs specialist with the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Shandolow admitted he downloaded the pornography onto his personal computer. FBI agents found more than 600 images.
