CSU stages a 5K race and one-mile fun run on April 5

The Columbus State University Alumni Association will hold a 5K raceand one-mile fun run starting at 8 a.m. April 5. The course begins at the Lumpkin Center, travels around campus and ends at the Thomas Whitley Clock Tower.

The race commemorates CSU’s 50th anniversary and opens with the fun runopen to ages 19 and younger. The 5K race is open to competitors 14 andolder with competitive age divisions up to 70 and older.

Trophies will be awarded to the overall and age group winners,medallions go to second and third-place finishers and all participantswill receive a commemorative T-shirt.

Registration fees before 5 p.m. March 29 are $20 and $15 for CSU students. Same-day fees are $25 and $20 for ages 12 and younger.
