Mara Scrupe will be the guest speaker at the Fort Benning Women’s History Month luncheon scheduled to be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Benning Club.
Scrupe is the Alan F. Rothschild Endowed Professor of Art and the Chair of the Art Department at Columbus State University.
She is an internationally recognized artist whose environmentally attuned projects have been presented at museums, parks, universities and other public sites in the U.S., Asia and Europe.
She will be speaking about the role of creativity in the lives of women.

Women’s History Month dates back to 1981, when a congressional resolution declared the first week of March as National Women's History Week, the focal point of the celebration being March 8, International Women's Day.
