Administrators at a Phenix City school were told to keep an eye out this morning after police informed school officials of a robbery in the area.
South Girard School on Fontaine Road did not go into lockdown, assistant prinicipal Josh Laney said after the school's resource officer informed them of a high police presence in the area. But school officials remained cautious, made sure the outside doors of the school were locked and monitored the building.
Superintendent Larry DiChiara said Phenix City police were chasing some suspects down Brickyard Road near the school.
