George Del Gobbo's Symphony U begins March 31

Columbus Symphony Orchestra conductor and music director George Del Gobbo's Symphony U is almost in session.

The three-part class costs $59, and include refreshments. After attending all three classes, students will receive a ticket to the April 19 concert, "Fabulous Fifths."

All classes are 5:30-7 p.m. in the Patrons' Room, RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, 900 Broadway.

The first is "Everything you wanted to know about music, but were afraid (or never got the chance) to ask" on March 31.

The April 7 class covers Beethoven's five piano concerti.

The April 14 class is about the symphony in the 20th century.

The deadline to sign up for the class is 5 p.m. Thursday.
