Tonight city planning consultants will hand out money at Columbus State University's Elizabeth Bradley Turner Center off East Lindsay Drive.
But the money won't be real, nor will the products for sale at the second session of a city "Strategic Framework Workshop" 6-8:30 p.m. There consultants with Jordan, Jones & Goulding will ask residents to suggest solutions to the problems Columbus faces in the next 20 years in population growth, transportation and neighborhood revitalization.
The workshop is a wrap-up to community meetings held in January and February to update the city's 2028 comprehensive plan, which guides policy-makers' decisions on land use and development.
Tonight participants get play money to symbolically invest in whatever infrastructure or other improvements they believe Columbus needs.
