Rain plans announced for CSU's anniversary celebration

Rain plans have been announced for the concert and fireworks planned as part of Columbus State University's 50th anniversary celebration.

If inclement weather prevents Friday night's free Swingin' Medallions concert from being held at the CSU clock tower, the concert will be moved inside the Lumpkin Center. The event starts at 7 p.m.

If weather prevents a fireworks show on Friday night, the show will be moved to Saturday night at 9 p.m. The show will be staged from a parking lot near the main University Avenue entrance to campus.

Organizers will make the final decision of the concert's location and the fireworks this afternoon.

The public is invited to both free events. For more information, check the CSU 50th anniversary Web site, www.colstate.edu/50years.
