Columbus Circle K robbed by armed men

Columbus police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Friday morning.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., two men — one of them armed with a small silver handgun — entered the Circle K on Floyd Road and demanded money from the clerk, Lt. Charles Kennedy said.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the store, the two suspects fled on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspects are described as two black men, both 18 to 25 years old and about 5-foot-5-inches tall. Kennedy said one man was about 130 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, black pants and a black windbreaker. Another was about 140 pounds, dressed in all dark clothing.

The case remains under investigation.
