Gas prices edged upward for another record high today in Columbus.
The average price of regular unleaded climbed to $3.238 per gallon, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report. It was three-tenths higher than on Thursday.
That's up from $3.15 per gallon a month ago and $2.54 per gallon on April 4 a year ago.
The highest average recorded in Georgia today is $3.31 per gallon in Albany, an all-time high for that city.
The state's lowest average can be found in Augusta, which is $3.20 per gallon.
Diesel fuel prices have been flat overall since March 21. They registered $3.98 per gallon today in Columbus.
On the national front, the average for regular unleaded today is an all-time high of $3.30 per gallon, AAA reported. Diesel is $4.04 per gallon.
