Auburn plans forum on ethnic tensions

On April 21, Auburn University will sponsor a public forum, "Ethnic Tensions in the United States: How We Can Live and Work Together."

The forum will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of co-sponsor Auburn First Baptist Church.

In the forum, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate three basic approaches to adressing the issueof ethnic tensions on the basis of attractions, concerns, costs, and consequences and trade-offs of each.

The three approaches are to integrate and fight discrimination, to combat economic inequality to achieve fairness and to address the past.

The forum is open to the public but limited to 40 participants.
