Troy University at Phenix City will hold a campus safety night on April 24.
The event will kick off at 7 p.m. with a personal safety presentation from the Crisis Center.
The night will also feature an evening walk around campus, where staff and student volunteers will work to identify other ways to improve campus security.
“Because our campus is tailored to working adults in our community who are attending classes in the evening, it is imperative that we focus on the unique challenges of securing our grounds for night classes,” Tessa Brown, assistant to Dr. Curtis Pitts, the Campus Vice Chancellor said in a press release. “The night walk will capitalize on the first hand perspective of our students.”
