Russell County dedicates new concessions building

The Russell County Sports and Recreation Complex's new concessions building will be dedicated Saturday during ceremonies around 11 a.m. EDT at the complex off Old Seale Highway in Seale.

The 22,000 square-foot concessions building was constructed through donations of money, time and expertise from plumbing, to brick masonry to putting up the walls of the building.

The building, as well as the entire park, was constructed through the Russell County Commission. James McGill, special projects coordinator for the Phenix City-Russell County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the county recreation board, county work crew supervisor George Worthington and Richard Sellers have coordinated the community effort to construct the concessions building.
