TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — A 17-year-old Northport girl has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of her ex-boyfriend.
Police said the two had argued over a pair of his shorts and got into a street fight.
Capt. Loyd Baker of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit said Startricia Mashae Robinson was arrested Saturday at Green Village trailer park.
She was arrested by Northport police within an hour of the 11:45 a.m. stabbing, he said. Baker said Robinson was charged as an adult with first-degree murder, with bond set at $50,000. The victim, 17-year-old Timmy Young, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where he died from a stab wound in the chest.
