Police: Two soldiers robbed at gunpoint

Two soldiers were robbed at gunpoint Monday night, Columbus police said.

Iman Harris, 19, and Terry Whitehead, 18, were walking south along Fort Benning Road near Singleton Drive when they heard someone calling Whitehead's name. They stopped and began talking to Michael Frazier, when two men — one them around 19-years-old and wearing a black ski mask, black hoodie and blue jeans shorts — stepped from behind E.J. Knight Apartments on Baker Plaza Drive.

Harris told police that one of the men pointed a silver pistol at them and demanded money. The soldier told them he didn't have any, and the masked man grabbed his Bluetooth and cell phone before both ran.

Nothing was taken from Whitehead.

Neither of the men were injured.
