One arrest made in attempted armed robbery case

One Columbus man was arrested after a Tuesday night attempted armed robbery, Columbus police said.

Jemayel Madison, 23, of 6022 Creekside Drive, is connected to the attempted robbery, which happened in the street near 1531 Third Ave., reports state.

Richard Ramsey, 54, who is homeless, told police two people approached him at 7:23 p.m. One was described as a black man, 6-foot-2, weighing 170 pounds and wearing a dark shirt with blue jeans shorts. The other was a black woman, 5-foot-7, with a medium build and wearing a dark shirt.

One of the suspects threatened to use a gun on Ramsey, though reports show nothing was taken.
