Columbus employee transporting inmates in wreck

A city of Columbus employee transporting two inmates was in a wreck Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 185.

Rhonda Harden, with Public Services, was driving a white 2007 Chevrolet truck about 1 1/2 miles north of Victory Drive with two inmates in the passenger seats when she saw a wreck ahead, Columbus police state. She slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting the stopped vehicle, which caused Christopher Hahn in his black 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer to collide with her.

Hahn's Trailblazer was heavily damaged, though there was only slight damage to the rear bumper of Harden's vehicle.

The two inmates complained of neck and back pain. No citations were issued in the wreck.
