Gas prices moved slightly higher today in Columbus — two-tenths of a penny — but still enough for another record high.
The average price of regular unleaded registered $3.605 at local pumps, up from $3.603 on Monday, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
A month ago, pump prices were $3.22 per gallon in Columbus. They were $2.86 per gallon on April 29 a year ago.
Atlanta and Athens have the highest average price today in Georgia at $3.62 per gallon, all-time highs for both of those cities.
The state's lowest average can be found in Augusta at $3.52 per gallon.
Diesel fuel prices also moved higher today in Columbus, registering a record $4.214 per gallon, up about half a cent from Monday.
Nationally, more records were set.
The U.S. average for regular unleaded today is $3.61 per gallon, AAA reported.
Diesel rose slightly to $4.24 per gallon.
