If you're hot and sweaty and ready to get cool in a pool, Wednesday could be the day you've been waiting for.
Columbus city pools open at noon for the start of the summer season.
Pool hours are noon-6 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, said Carson Revell of the Columbus Parks & Recreation Department. They're reserved for private pool rentals on Mondays and Tuesdays, he said.
Pool admission is $1 for kids 11 or younger, $2 for those age 12-17, $3 for those 18-54 and $2 for folks 55 or older, he said.
Those visiting city pools are required to get ID cards, which can be issued at the pools. Adults need to show photo IDs; children need a Social Security number or birth certificate.
City pools are at the Psalmond Road Recreation Center, Rigdon Park, Shirley Winston Park and Double Churches.
