Staff Photographer Philip Wartena captured lightning from the storm that swept through Muscogee County on Saturday evening from the parking lot of the Main Library on Macon Road. "I shot over 200 images over the span of an hour and only six of those were in sync with the lightning. But all you need is one," he said. Wartena, at left, poses for a self-portrait as lightning strikes behind him and the old Sears building on Macon Road.
