Facing a child molestation charge for six months, a Cataula man walked out of the Harris County Courthouse Wednesday a free man.
Christopher Thomas Granthamcq, 26, was arrested in December and accused of touching a 5-year-old relative. It took a jury a little more than three hours Tuesday and Wednesday to decide he wasn't guilty.
"It just didn't equal up," said Cynthia Maisanocq, his attorney. "There was reasonable doubt this occurred."
Assistant District Attorney Dan Trimblecq said it was a close case. He argued to jurors that the girl, who testified, should be believed.
