Ted Pearce is a singer/songwriter/guitarist in a genre known as “messianic music," according to his Web site. The characteristics of this style are joyful praises and intimately worshipful melodies often accompanied by hebraic dance, banners, shofar blowing, clapping and singing. Ted’s songs are designed to bring people of diverse backgrounds together in the unity of the Holy Spirit as they worship the God of Israel with His Word as our common denominator.
His two oldest sons, Wes and Alex, joined him full-time last fall and recorded new music for the “Hallelu Et Adonai” CD release in April. During the three years prior to joining their father in the Ted Pearce Project, Alex had been a drummer for the U.S. Army in South Korea and his older brother, Wes, was playing guitar/singing with a youth worship team in the Dallas area. The trio informally jammed together for the first time at the 2007 MJAA South Central Conference in Oklahoma City and Ted’s new band was born.
