Two Auburn men were arrested after a Monday afternoon car chase.
Auburn police responded to a burglary call at 1:15 p.m. CDT at a Lee Road 12 home, where they spoke with a witness who gave officers a description of the suspects' vehicle. As they left, they saw the car trying to escape, police said.
Shortly afterward, officers stopped the car and took the men into custody.
Charles Tell, 22, and Durrell Patterson, 18, both of Auburn were booked into the Lee County Jail. Tell is charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree theft of property, possession of burglar's tools, fleeing and attempting to elude police, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.

Patterson was charged withy third-degree burglary, first-degree theft of property and resisting arrest.
Police said stolen property was found at the Lee Road home and in the suspects' car. The latter came from at least one unrelated burglary.
More charges are expected, police said.
