Three Columbus teens hit with birdshot

Three teens were injured early this morning when they were hit with birdshot during an altercation in the 2500 block of Fourth Avenue.

A black sedan occupied by an unknown number of people pulled up to a crowd gathered in the street about 12:30 a.m., police said. Words were exchanged and one of the vehicle's occupants pulled a shotgun and fired into the crowd.

Police say three teens were struck by birdshot and transported to the hospital where they were treated and released.

Police have no suspects.
