The Thompson-Pound Art Program, or TAP, has its annual camp this week. On Thursday night, a celebration for family, campers, staff and friends will gather at Oxbow Meadows beginning at 7. The event includes the unveiling of the campers' art work, and refreshments. The location is 3535 S. Lumpkin Road.
The camp is meeting Monday through Friday at the Rankin Arts Center downtown.
The Thursday event is free and open to the public. Call 706-324-4264 or 706-327-0400 for more information.
TAP marks its 13th camp this year. Named for the late artist enthusiasts Barbara Golden Pound and Tom Thompson, TAP brings children and teens together from several faiths to learn about each other's faiths, and also to create art around a theme. This year's theme is "Let the Earth Live."
