Calvary Baptist Church, 7556 Old Moon Road, will be 100 years old on the first Sunday in July.
The church will celebrate through the entire month, with services 10:30 a.m.-noon each Sunday.
Sunday school classes will not meet during July, but a children's church service will be offered the first three Sundays during worship.
Sunday, July 6 will feature a special message from the pastor, the Rev. Don Wilhite; a short video of the beginnings of Calvary; The Lord's Supper celebration; and a dinner-on-the-ground potluck lunch in the student center.
On July 13, the guest speaker is the Rev. Ken Hemphill, who serves as the National Strategist for Empowering Kingdom Growth for the Southern Baptist Convention. He was the President of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas from 1994-2003.
On July 20, the guest will be the Rev. Robert Smith, professor of Christian Preaching at Beeson Divinity School of Samford University in Birmingham.
On July 27, renowned vocalist Charles Billingsley will be the guest. He is the worship leader of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Va., and the Director of the Worship Institute at Liberty University.
