Woman shot in nightclub parking lot

Police are looking for a man accused of shooting a woman outside a Columbus night club early Sunday morning.

Antwone Mantrell Murray, 24, faces aggravated assault charges stemming from a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Glory Days Night Club on St. Mary's Road at around 3 a.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the woman — a Phenix City resident in her early 20s — shot in the upper chest and upper leg.

Her injuries were not life-threatening and she was transported to The Medical Center for treatment.

Lt. Lynn Joiner said the shooting stemmed from an altercation at the club earlier that night, in which the woman was not involved. As the club was closing down for the night and the crowd started moving out into the parking lot, the suspect started shooting. Joiner said the woman probably didn't know Murray.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Columbus police at 706-653-3400.
