The Lee County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Smiths Station man accused of shooting a juvenile last week.
Jimmy Rogers Medley, 51, was arrested at approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday and charged with one count of first-degree assault.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 28.
Deputies were called out to a house on Lee Road 240 in reference to a possible criminal trespassing in progress.

Witnesses told officers that some sort of altercation had taken place between Medley and a male juvenile, which ended in gunfire.
The juvenile was taken to the intensive care unit of Columbus Regional where he is being treated for gunshot wounds to his chest and forearm. He is listed in critical but stable condition.
Medley is being held in the Lee County jail on a $10,000 bond.
