Bryant Butler, 22, has been arrested by the FBI and charged with assault with intent to commit murder for a shooting Monday evening at Fort Benning.
A press realse from the FBI states that he incident took place in the parking lot of the Automotive Skills Center on post. The victim was 19-year-old Vincent Henry who was transported to the Columbus Regional Medical Center and treated for a single gunshot wound. He remains in stable condition.
Butler surrendered to special agents of the FBI and Detectives of the Columbus Police Department at Columbus Police Headquarters without incident.
Butler is scheduled for an initial appearance before United States Magistrate G. Mallon Faircloth Wednesday at 4 p.m.
