Tonight, one "American Idol" contestant will get the boot in the last episode before next week's finale.
The remaining three singers — Melinda Doolittle, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks — each performed three songs Tuesday, in a night that attracted no major criticism from the judges.
At the end of the show, host Ryan Seacrest asked the three-judge panel who should end up in the top two. Randy Jackson chose Doolittle and Sparks, Simon Cowell chose just Doolittle and Paula Abdul expectably skirted the question.
Tonight's show, which starts at 9/8c on FOX, will feature performances by Maroon 5 and Elliott Yamin, who took third place on the last season of "Idol."
