Writers: Have your work professionally critiqued

There's an Aug. 1 postmark deadline for local writers who want to have their work critiqued by a professional evaluator in conjunction with the Chattahoochee Valley Writers' Conference.

John P. Travis, editor/publisher of Portals Press in New Orleans, and Stephany Evans, president of New York-based FinePrint Literary Management, will evaluate a limited number of manuscripts. Submitted works can't exceed 15 pages, double-spaced. Cost is $50.

See a full list of guidelines, as well as mailing information, at http://www.chattwriters.org/Manuscripts.htm.

The Chattahoochee Valley Writers' Conference is Sept. 26-28 at the Columbus Public Library.
