An Auburn man was killed Sunday night in a motorcycle crash in Loachapoka, Ala.Toby Wagner, 31, was killed instantly when the motorcycle he was driving collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Fredia Denise Bishop of Auburn shortly before 9 p.m., said Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Lee Road 4 and Lee Center and Lee Road 188. Wagner, who appeared to be wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle some 275 feet from the the point of impact, the coroner said. It appears he was traveling north on Lee Road 188 when he struck Bishop's southbound vehicle.
Wagner was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:42 p.m. from massive blunt force injuries. His body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for an autopsy.
Bishop was transported by Eastern Alabama Medical Center Emergency Medical Service personnel to the East Alabama Medical Center emergency room for apparent non-life threatening injuries.

The coroner said speed is considered to be a factor in the accident, but Alabama State Troopers are investigating. Lee Road 188 was blocked for several hours Sunday night and into Monday morning as troopers investigated.
