The Columbus Health Department warns that West Nile Virus is becoming more widespread and residents should take precautions against mosquitoes.
Disrict Health Director Dr. Zsolt Koppanyi advises using mosquito repellent especially those containing DEET oir Picaridin and also long sleeve shirts and pants when working or playing mosquito prone areas.
He also suggests cleaning clogged rain gutters, emptying water from flower pots and pet food dishes, discarded tires and repaiing any broken windows or screen doors.
