The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, West Point Project announced that one of its two main hydropower generators, Unit #3, at West Point Dam has been returned to service.
It has been out of service for five years due to an internal electrical fault but it has been repaired and upgraded. Another unit is expected to be taken out of service for upgrading.
