From July 29-31 unmanned aerial robotics will soar over Fort Benning.
This will be the last time the International Aerial Robotics Competition will take place at Fort Benning's McKenna Urban Operations Site.
Teams consisting of university students from around the world build the vehicles, which cannot be operated by remote or pilot. They may be any size or shape, but cannot weigh more that 198 lbs. when operational.
The annual contest is sponsored by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI). For more information is available at http://avdil.gtri.gatech.edu/AUVS/IARCLaunchPoint.html.
