A Columbus man was nearly robbed by two armed men late Sunday night.

The 54-year-old man told police that at around 10:30 p.m., as he was walking to his truck after closing up his Quick Stop store on Milgen Road, two men ran from the south side of the business toward him.

One of the suspects struck the man in the head with a short barreled revolver and said "give me the money." They did not take anything from the man. They then ran from the scene, going toward the south end of the business.

The man sustained a one inch cut to the back of his head, but refused to be transported to the hospital.
