"Working With Governments" is the name of the workshop scheduled for 1:30-4 p.m. Aug. 6 in the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, 1200 Sixth Ave.
The guest speaker is U.S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland.
The workshop is designed for business owners who may or may not want to work with local and federal government agencies.
Among the speakers are Mike Gaymon, president and CEO of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce; Lori Auten, area director, UGA/Small Business Development Center; Isaiah Hugley, city manager, Columbus Consolidated Government; Andrea McCorvey, director of purchasing, Columbus Consolidated Government; Rebecca Vanover, Small Business development specialist, U.S. General Services Administration; Chuck Walls, deputy garrison commander, Fort Benning; and Steve Magner, directorate of contracting, Fort Benning.
