A tax preparer and funeral home employee pleaded guilty Thursday to defrauding the IRS out of close to $100,000.
Fredric Leon Holland and Valorie Lynn Renfroe admitted to conspiracy to defraud the United States and aiding and assisting in the preparation and presentation of false and fradulent individual income tax returns. If the maximum concurrent sentences are imposed, each would serve eight years in prison.
