A Phenix City woman was killed Monday afternoon when she was ejected from the motorcyle she was riding on with her husband.
Georgia State Patrol said that 39-year-old Leigh Patterson was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident and her husband was seriously injured and transported to The Medical Center in Columbus.
The accident happened three miles east of LaGrange when the couple was traveling south on Interstate 185 around 3:55 p.m. The couple was ejected from the motorcyle when the rear tire blew out and the motorcyle overturned, GSP said. Leigh Patterson's residence was listed as Phenix City.
