A Columbus woman reported she was robbed Sunday evening.
The 51-year-old woman told police she was in the parking lot of the CVS on Hilton Avenue, putting groceries in her car, when a man approached her and asked how she was doing.
She told him she was fine and he grabbed her purse from her right arm. The man then ran south on Hilton Avenue.
The woman went back inside the CVS and called 911.
According to a police report, the man took her black and yellow purse containing a wallet, a Georgia driver's license, $500 in cash, a bottle of 100 Percocet pills and a bottle of 90 Badofen pills. The total value of the purse and its contents was estimated to be about $960.
The woman was not injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as a man about 18 years old, standing about 5-foot-8-inches tall with a skinny build, wearing a blue shirt.
The case remains under investigation.
