There's a peculiar stench wafting from the Carver High School cafeteria, but it's not today's lunch special.
Some of the pipes in the kitchen have become clogged with food and grease build-up, causing a foul smell.
Chief Operations and Facilities Officer Myles Caggins said the pipes are being cleaned out and repaired so that the problem does not occur again.
The pipes should be fixed by Oct. 3.
Since the kitchen is closed, meals are being prepared at Rigdon Road Elementary and delivered to Carver. Some students are eating lunch in the auditorium.
