Synovus executive makes list of '25 Women to Watch'

A Synovus executive has been named to U.S. Banker Magazine's list of "25 Women to Watch."

Lisa White, senior vice president and senior director of Innovative Solutions, a division of Columbus-based Synovus Financial Corp., is No. 16 on the list that appears in the October issue of the magazine.

White, employed with Synovus 25 years, is in charge of the bankholding firm's mobile banking, secure vault payments and prepaid card products.

She was chosen from 4,700 women reviewed by the magazine's editors. She made the Top 25 "for being instrumental in the revenue and earning growth of Synovus by being an early adopter of leading-edge technologies and making strategic investments to create shareholder value," Synovus said in a news release.

Past Synovus honorees among the banking industry's "most powerful women" include Lee Lee James, vice chairman and chief people officer, and Leila Carr, chief retail officer.

Synovus is a regional banking firm that oversees more than $34 billion in assets at its 34 banks in five Southeastern states.
